We can add Forms to the Case Page as a new tab. To do so we are going to add a new, not default, Detail Page and then add a new Form Viewer Tab.
Steps
Navigate to Setup (1) → Forms and Pages (2) → Detail Pages As you can see, there’s already a default detail page for cases but these default detail pages cannot be modified.
Click on the gear next to DCM CASE DEFAULT and select Clone.
In the pop-up window, enter the following information:
Name: AUTO LOAN
Case Type: Auto Loan
Description: Auto Loan Detail Page
Clone Permissions: Checked
Save it.
Click on the gear next to AUTO LOAN and select Open, or just click the hyperlink. This will open the Case Detail Page Builder window.
From the Toolbox, under the Tabs, drag the MDM Search Viewer to the tab section. This will open a pop-up window to configure this new tab.
Use the following to configure the tab to show the search page for the Bank Account object.
Tab Title: Bank Accounts
Tab Icon: building
Tab Tooltip: List of Bank Accounts
MDM Child Search: Bank Account
Save it.
Save the changes to the case detail page. Eventually, you will see a modal showing a message about a number of objects saved.
Close the Case Detail Page Builder.
On the Detail Pages list, click the Publish button (the play icon) to update the cache with the new layout. Now, we are going to update the Auto Loan configuration to use this new case detail page instead of the default one.
Go to Case Setup → Case Types (1)
Open the Auto Loan case type (2)
Select the Custom Pages tab (3), and for the Detail Page, select the AUTO LOAN from the dropdown list.
To check these changes, go to Home → Search Cases (1), open any case that you have already created, or create a new one. Validate that you have the Bank Accounts tab (2) and try adding a new Bank Account to the case (3).
