Custom Detail Page

A detail page is a specific view that provides detailed information about a particular item: Case, Party, or Task. It often includes a variety of data and controls related to that item, allowing users to view and interact with its details.

The content and layout of a detail page can vary depending on the specific object.


Steps

  1. On the top right, navigate to 
     → <<your solution>>
  2. On the left, navigate to 
     → Setup (1)
  3. Navigate to Forms and Pages (2) → Detail Pages (3)
    As you can see, there’s already a default detail page for cases, but these default detail pages cannot be modified.
  4. Click on the gear next to DCM CASE DEFAULT and select
  5. In the pop-up window enter the following information:
    • Name: AUTO LOAN
    • Case Type: Auto Loan
    • Description: AUTO LOAN Detail Page
    • Clone Permissions: Checked

  6. Save it.
  7. Click on the gear next to AUTO LOAN select Open or click the hyperlink. This will open a new tab for the Case Detail Page Builder.
  8. From the Toolbox → Tabs, drag and drop the MDM Search Viewer to the tab section.
  9. In the popup window, Set the required values for the MDM Viewer tab:
    1. Basic Settings
      1. Tab Title: Bank Accounts
      2. Tab Icon: bank
      3. Tab Tooltips: Bank Account
    2. Standard Tab Settings
      1. MDM Child Search: Bank Account
    3. Save it.
  10. Save your changes in the case detail page and test it using the Preview button. Select any existing case.
  11. Close the Case Detail Page Builder and click the Publish button to update the layout and the cache.
  12. Go to Case Types (1), open the Auto Loan case, select the Custom Pages tab (2), and in the Detail Page section, select the AUTO LOAN from the dropdown list (3).
  13. To check these changes, go to Case Management (1) → Search Cases (2), open any case you have already created or create a new one. Check that you have the Bank Accounts tab (3).
