Discussion Settings

Discussions have been implemented as the Collaboration tool within the ServiceJourney solution. The following settings manage how users interact with the Discussion/Collaboration threads.

Managing Discussion Threads
Creating a New Discussion Thread

Indicate whether any user viewing the Case can create a Discussion thread or only the Case Owner can do this.

Editing a Discussion Thread

Indicate whether any user viewing the Case can edit a Discussion thread or only the Case Owner can do this. Alternatively, no users can edit a Discussion thread once it is started.

Deleting a Discussion Thread

Indicate whether any user that can view the Case can also delete a Discussion thread or only the Case Owner can do this. Alternatively, no user can delete a Discussion thread once it has been started.

Commenting in a Discussion Thread

Indicate whether any user that can view the Case can also comment in a Discussion thread or only people who are part of the discussion can do this.
Allowing User to Join a Discussion Thread ThemselvesIndicate whether any user can join a Discussion thread directly or if they need to be invited.
Allowing a User to Leave a Discussion Thread ThemselvesIndicate whether any user can leave a Discussion thread they are part of or need to be removed by other users.
Adding Other People to a Discussion ThreadIndicate whether any user that can view the Case can add any other user to a Discussion thread or only the Case Owner can do this. Alternatively, no users can add other people to a Discussion thread.
Removing Other People from a Discussion ThreadIndicate whether any user that can view the Case can also remove any other user from a Discussion thread or only the Case Owner can do this. Alternatively, no users can remove other people from a Discussion thread.
Deleting a CommentIndicate whether only the user who created a comment or nobody can delete it.
Editing a CommentIndicate whether only the user who created a comment or nobody can edit it.
