KB Monitoring and Basic Troubleshooting

System Log

The System Log is a monitoring tool that tracks system-level jobs and events that are taking place within the Knowledge Base Solution.

The log files can be helpful in troubleshooting issues with your KB application. These log files are available:

  • Error log—This log contains application and data errors.

  • Info log—This log contains informational errors.

  1. Navigate to Setup → System Log

  2. Click the plus button to the left of each entry to expand the event and see any additional information that is relevant to the activity.

Queue Event

The Queue Event is a monitoring tool that tracks Events that are taking place within the Knowledge Base Solution.

  1. Navigate to Setup → Queue Events
  2. Using the gear button 

    located to the left of each Event to allow the Knowledge Base Administrators to manage the Event modifications: modifying, restarting, or deleting the Event from the Solution.

FTS Queue (Full-Text Search Queue)

The FTS Queue is a monitoring tool that tracks the indexing Full-Text activities taking place in the Knowledge Base Solution. These include indexing Events for new Articles as well as reindexing of the entire body of Articles.

  1. Navigate to Setup → FTS Queue

  2. Using the gear button 

    located to the left Event to allow the Knowledge Base Administrators to manage the Event modifications: modifying, restarting, or deleting the Event from the Solution.
