Managing Article Templates

The Knowledge Base solution provides for the ability to create Article Templates with pre-populated texts and customizations that could be used as a design pattern when adding new articles.


Add an Article Templates

  1. Navigate to Data Management → Article Templates
  2. Click the New Article Template button
  3. Type a Name to the new template
  4. Insert a brief description for the template
  5. Customize the content of the article as needed.

    TagsSelecting Tags. A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your article with other similar articles.
    Knowledge BaseSelecting Knowledge Base that this Article Template belongs to.
    Category

    Select the category that the article template belongs to.

  6. Do a Preview to check the new template
  7. Close the Preview window
  8. Save the template

Edit an Article Templates

  1. Navigate to Data Management → Article Templates
  2. Click on the Name of the template
  3. Make changes to the fields as needed.
  4. Click the Source button in the editor.
  5. Add the following HTML code at the last line

  6. Click the Source button in the editor.
  7. Do a Preview to check the changes
  8. Save the updates.

Delete an Article Templates

  1. Navigate to Data Management → Article Templates
  2. From the Gear button 
    to the left of the template to be deleted, select Delete from the drop-down list.
  3. Click the Yes button to confirm to proceed to delete it.

    The template will be permanently deleted from the Knowledge Base Solution.
