Rules
Business Rules define business-related logic (such as making business decisions, data validation, integration with other systems, work routing, and many more functions). Those rules include policies, requirements, and conditional statements that are used to determine the actions that take place in applications.
In addition to Business Rules, you can use the DLL Extensions function to upload DLLs and then call a procedure(s) from them using rules. This is useful for complicated business logic or importing already written procedures.
