With system administration rights, it is possible to explicitly change the password on a user's behalf. That is, you, as the system administrator, will manually type in the new password and advise the user.
Change User Password
With system administration rights, it is possible to change the password on behalf of a user explicitly. That is, you, as the system administrator, will manually type in the new password and advise the user.
On the top right, navigate to → Manage User
On the left, navigate toUser Management → Users
Open the User page by clicking on the Full Name hyperlink
Click the Change password button
Enter the New password to be assigned and then re-enter it again in the Confirm new password field
Save the new password
Reset User Password
The user management options in AppBase also cater to enabling users to change their own passwords. If configured, the reset password feature on the user screen will send an email to the user with instructions on how to change their own password.
On the top right, navigate to → Manage User
On the left, navigate toUser Management → Users
Open the User page by clicking on the Full Name hyperlink
Click the Reset password button
Confirm the action.
You'll get an Alert indicating that the email was sent.
The user will receive an email from the system with a link to reset the password
The link will route the user to the page to reset the password
After the new password is accepted, the page will show a successful message.
